Welcome to THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF FEMALE VETERANS. INC website

THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF FEMALE VETERANS. INC in Orlando, Florida was initially created to act as an advocate for female veterans and their families who are facing issues. Although we provide assistance to all veterans, there are approximately two-million female veterans documented in the United States.


Traditional services for veterans do not always fit the needs of female veterans and those closest to them. In light of this fact, our mission at THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF FEMALE VETERANS. INC (NLFV) is to empower the war veterans and their family members so that they can optimally rebuild their lives after military service. We will do this by guiding and assisting the veteran to receive benefits through resources regarding the following:

  • Education

The knowledge that will aid you toward successful transition from military to civilian life

  • Supportive Services
    • Face-to-face and/or placement/homeless female veterans
    • Referrals to/for rent, utility payments, moving expenses, and services

If you or an immediate family member has served federal active duty in the United States Armed Forces during any of the war eras listed below and has been honorably discharged or are still serving, you are eligible for membership at THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF
FEMALE VETERANS. INC!

  • August 2, 1990 Until Today - Operation Desert Shield/Storm
  • December 20, 1989 to January 31, 1990 - Operation Just Cause (Panama)
  • August 24, 1982 to July 31, 1984 (Lebanon/Grenada)
  • February 28, 1961 to May 7, 1975 (Vietnam)
  • June 25, 1950 to January 31, 1955 (Korea)
  • December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 - World War II
  • April 6, 1917 to November 11, 1918 - World War I

Because eligibility dates remain open, all members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join at THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF FEMALE VETERANS. INC at this time until the date of the end of hostilities, which is determined by the government of the United States. The U.S. Merchant Marines and their family members are only eligible from December 7, 1941 to December 31, 1946 (WWII).

Individual Gifts

Individual gifts are paramount in supporting the wide range of The NLFV's programs and services that help our veterans and personnel on active duty as well as their families. The need for these services and programs is greatly increasing.


The creative gift plans featured in this section will allow our supporters not only have a greater impact on our ability to help with their gifts. They will also enjoy greater personal tax and financial benefits.


As always, because the administrative costs of these programs are paid from other sources, all the money contributed to The NLFV is used to benefit the intended programs and services.
